Details About Common Paper Grades

Old Corrugated Containers / Cardboard (OCC)

Corrugated cardboard made from layers of paper glued together with a grooved or ruffled inner liner — commonly used for shipping boxes.

Old Newsprint (ONP)

Old or surplus newspapers, whether they have been read or are extra printed issues.

Sorted Office Waste (SOW)

A mix of high-quality office papers, including:

  • White and pastel copy paper

  • Writing paper

  • White and multi-stripe computer paper

  • Letterhead and envelopes

Mixed Paper (MP)
